On May 15, 2024, the Tipos Arena Stadium echoed with the sounds of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Starmus music director Stuart Morley, and the harmonious voices of the Boys and Child’s Choir of Slovak Radio. The legendary Brian May, the powerful voice of Celeste Buckingham, the dynamic rapper Tono S, and the iconic Tony Hadley added layers of richness to the night. Simon Phillips’ mastery on drums set the rhythm for the evening, which was further elevated by Rick Wakeman’s world premiere of an original composition dedicated to Jane Goodall. Montserrat Mati’s performance captivated the audience, and Laurie Anderson, a laureate of the Stephen Hawking Prize, presented her solo piece, Ark/lifeboat, adding a touch of introspection to the event.
