The Samaria Klezmer Band, a group of talented musicians from Somorja, delighted the audience with their traditional and modern Jewish music at the majestic Dôstojnícky Pavilón in Komárno. The band played various instruments, such as accordion, percussions, violin and clarinet, and sang in Jiddish, Hungarian and Slovak languages. The band’s repertoire included songs from the Eastern European Jewish culture, as well as Israeli and Yiddish melodies, and some popular tunes from the Jewish theatre. The band also engaged with the audience, inviting them to join in the singing and dancing. The concert was a joyful celebration of the Jewish heritage and culture, and a demonstration of the band’s passion and skill.
