2023-07-22 Strekov vineyards

Strekov is a small village in southern Slovakia, famous for its wine production and its self-proclaimed status as a “Free Viticultural Republic”. Every year, in July, the village hosts the Strekov Wine Festival, a two-day event that attracts wine lovers from all over the region and beyond. The festival offers a unique opportunity to taste the wines of more than 50 local and invited winemakers, who showcase their products in the vineyards and cellars of the village. The festival also features a rich cultural program, with folk music, dance, crafts, and gastronomy.
