Hamilton Ontario Indigenous day Pow Wow, also known as the Soaring Spirit Pow Wow, was an annual event that celebrated the culture, community, and traditions of Indigenous Peoples and Nations in Ontario. The Pow Wow was held at Battlefield Park in Hamilton, a historic site of the War of 1812. The Pow Wow featured various activities and attractions, such as the Grand Entry, the dance performance, the drumming and singing, the vendors and food, the lacrosse demonstrations, and the giveaway. The Pow Wow was a wonderful opportunity to learn about, appreciate, celebrate and honour Indigenous culture in Ontario. It was open to everyone who wanted to join in the spirit of friendship and respect.
