Schio welcomes you with a landscape made of green hills and an amphitheatre formed by the peaks of Piccole Dolomiti. Schio displays interesting evidence of its Industrial history, still visible today and linked mainly to the manufacturing and social activities of the Rossi family. Do not miss unique buildings like Fabbrica Alta, Lanificio Conte, Giardino Jacquard, "Omo" monument, which represent some of the elements that gave the town the famous nickname of "little Manchester", due to its significant textile production. In addition to these historical buildings, along the town's streets, you will also find many historical palaces, the working-class neighbourhood, the Civic Theatre, the St Peter Cathedral, the St Bakhita Church, and the St Francesco Church. At present Schio is a modern town and it offers many cultural, promotional and social initiatives.
