2019-01-29 Malaysia - Batu Caves
It was a little tricky to get here while on a business trip and right after major hindu festival (Thaipusam), but I gave it a go on the last day feeling ill already - it was worth all of this.It was very calm and colourful as the pictures. The only disturbers of peace were the animals - roosters, chicken and other fowl, the contemplative monkeys and the smell of leftovers after the festival. Batu Caves (Tamil: பத்து மலை) is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Sungai Batu (Stone River), which flows past the hill.
